It is designed specifically to help current and future music therapists contemplate an extensive array of factors as they consider their career options in the vast field of music therapy. Music therapists can earn 5 pre-approved CMTE credits for just $4.00 per credit hour by reviewing the workbook materials, listening to the audio segments, answering the questions for each chapter, and then completing the CMTE application packet. You may take the mini-course now and apply for credits anytime in the future. Whether you take the course for CMTE credit or not, Music Works Publications commends you for taking steps to boost your professional development.
When you apply for CMTE credit, you will submit a CMTE packet that includes: (1) a copy of the answered questions for each chapter, (2) the required 2-page CMTE Evaluation form located at the back of the workbook, and (3) a check paid to the order of Music Works Publications for your $20.00 CMTE fee. You must keep a copy of your packet in the event it is lost in the mail. Send the CMTE packet to Dellinda Henry, MT-BC, 9471 Brushy Point Street, San Antonio, TX 78250.
Due to the personal nature of the questions and answers for this mini-course, your course work will receive a restricted access status. Except for the 2-page evaluation form, your course work will only be accessible to Dellinda Henry, the Continuing Education Director of Music Works Publications. Learning Objectives Course participants will: (1) evaluate and identify professional strengths, weaknesses, priorities, and employment options, (2) define personal and/professional goals and objectives, (3) develop a better understanding of their personal and professional effectiveness, and (4) develop a plan of action to strengthen areas of professional weakness. Exploring Career Options addresses these specific competencies of the CBMT Revised Scope of Practice: III. Treatment Implementation and Termination, A.5.i. and V. Professional Development and Responsibilities, A.1-2a and B.9-10
