Assessment Snapshot

The term “assessment” is defined differently in various settings and situations. Assessments might be used to catalog, to verify, or to discover strengths and deficits. Some agencies use assessments to determine eligibility for services. Others use assessments to gather information necessary for developing therapeutic objectives in treatment or education plans. or for planning specific therapeutic interventions. Some assessments are comprehensive and others focus on just one specific area. No matter the ultimate purpose, any assessment is a snapshot in time of a unique, changing individual. – from the Assessments Toolbox
